Introduction SeaFish Liquid Fertilizer is a natural source of large of the major plant nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Our fish emulsion is made from whole Menhaden (ocean) fish resulting in a superior quality product with a solids level of 45%! SeaFish is a perfect complement to SeaCrop Liquid Kelp, and SeaCrop16 Plant Growth Regulator. Benefits of SeaFish:
For decades now, fish emulsions have been proving themselves for home garden and commercial farm use. Now, with the financial and environmental cost of chemical fertilizers, the use of fish emulsion fertilizers has become a financially attractive, and responsible alternative in present day agriculture. Dilution Rates For SeaFish: Soil Application: 4 Tablespoons per gallon of water Pump Sprayer: 2 Tablespoons per gallon of water Tractor Sprayer: 2 Gallons per 20-40 gal of water per acre Hose-End Sprayer: 5 ounces SeaFish treats 500 sq. ft. When using SeaFish with SeaCrop16 or SeaCrop Liquid Kelp, add the liquid kelp to the water in the spray tank first, then add the SeaFish. Application Recommendations for SeaFish: The most important times to apply SeaFish are when plants are transplanted, first leafing out, fist budding, and when the fruit is first appearing. For lawns, shrubs and non flowering ornamentals apply once a month. SeaFish is a thick emulsion, so in order to pour, it must be above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. For best results, SeaFish should not be applied from noon to 4 pm or at night. A surfactant (spreader sticker) should be used when applying SeaFish as a foliar spray. This will help the spray to penetrate the foliage. Specific Crop Application Rates: Hay: Mix 2 gallons of SeaFish with enough water to cover an acre and spray when the crop is 4:-8" high. This application has shown to increase the yield and protein content of the crop. Corn: Mix 1-2 gallons SeaFish with enough water to cover an acre, and spray at the 1 ½ foot stage of growth. Apply a second spray of 1-2 gallons per acre at tassel time. If only one application is to be made, spray 2-4 gallons at the 1 ½ foot stage. The first spray will influence the yield and the second spray will increase the protein of the crop. Small Grains: Mix 2 gallons of SeaFish with enough water to cover an acre and apply at boot stage.
